Jing Jing Yang '25

Co-President & Lessons Advisor

Jing Jing is an incoming sophomore from Beijing, China concentrating in Economics and Psychology, and is currently interning during her second gap year. She joined China Care as a lessons co-coordinator, took on the additional role of secretary/VP in her second year, and is excited to return as co-president. Outside of China Care, Jing Jing enjoys photography, golfing, discovering new eats, and testing the boundaries of how much coffee she can drink. She misses working in-person with the China Care families and can’t wait to be back in Providence!

Kelly Fan '23

Kelly is a sophomore from Ann Arbor, MI concentrating in Biology and Anthropology. She joined China Care her freshman year as a lessons co-coordinator, and looks forward to continuing this year in addition to taking on the vice president role. Outside of China Care, she can often be found rewatching old movies or looking for good eats. Kelly is excited to spend time with both mentees and the China Care community on campus! 

Yuqi Gao '22

Fundraising Co-coordinator

Yuqi is a senior from Beijing concentrating in Education Studies. This is her second year in the Fundraising committee, and she is super excited to continue working with everyone to plan fun events! Besides China Care, Yuqi loves volunteering as tutors in Providence & Beijing, working with shelters to take care of animals, and dancing! You will also probably catch her binge watching drama in the library :) She is looking forward to starting a new year and getting to know everyone!!!

Angela Li '23

Media Coordinator

Angela is a junior from Shanghai, China studying Cognitive Neuroscience. She is continuing as Media Coordinator this year to help showcase the work China Care does through social media. Outside of China Care, Angela is passionate about theater, digital art, and games like Stardew Valley and Don't Starve. She is looking forward to working with everyone this semester!

Lily Gucfa '24

Co-President & Mentorship Advisor

Lily is a junior from Rehoboth, MA who studies Architecture at RISD. She joined China Care during freshman year as a mentor and fundraising team member. She became the Mentorship Co-Coordinator a year later and now she is excited to work as Co-President. Outside of China Care, she enjoys listening to the Doja Cat, watching Broadway musicals, geocaching, volunteering at ACE Mentorship, and assisting with art courses at Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Education. Lily is thrilled to be a part of China Care long after being a mentee herself.

Jadis Chen '24

Mentorship Co-Coordinator

Jadis is an incoming sophomore from Los Gatos, CA potentially concentrating Public Health on the premed track. As her second year in China Care, she is excited to return as a mentorship co-coordinator as she is passionate about empowering children through education! Outside of China Care, she enjoys playing piano, making jewelry, trying new restaurants with her friends, and baking. Jadis can’t wait to be a part of the China Care community on campus.

Sam Schaab-Rozbicki '23

Sam is a junior studying Political Science and Health & Human Biology. She joined China Care in her sophomore year as a member of the fundraising committee, and is looking forward to continuing her involvement with the committee as Co-Coordinator. Outside of China Care, she loves to bake, watch comedy series like Arrested Development, and sing along to Broadway show tunes. Sam is excited to get back on campus this fall, and can't wait to work with everyone!

Jessie Zhang '23

Jessie is a junior from Shanghai, China, double concentrating in International & Public Affairs and Economics. She joined China Care in sophomore year (remotely) as a member of the Lessons Team, and is excited to continue her journey this year as the Lessons Co-Coordinator. Outside of China Care, Jessie can be found trying new baking recipes, exploring cafes around the city, and writing travel blogs. She is looking forward to working with both China Care community and mentees on campus this year!
